Melanie has read romance novels since the age of 14 when her mom handed Melanie her first book. She believes her mom did it merely to shut her up. Fern Michael’s Captive Passion opened a door she had no idea existed and she was hooked. It wasn’t long before Melanie was reading a book or two or three a month. It also wasn’t long before one simple question tumbled around in her brain without an answer. What if? That question has never stopped its rampage through her mind. Now it’s an old familiar friend leading her down exciting paths to people and places just waiting for their story to be told.
Melanie writes contemporary romances with paranormal/time travel/fantasy/suspense elements, but not all in the same story. Melanie is a member of the Pikes Peak Writers, Romance Writers of America, Women’s Fiction Writers Association and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. She is also a member of her local chapters Colorado Romance Writers. She is an award-winning author and in 2015 her first short story was published.
Melanie lives in Castle Rock, Colorado. Her world is made up of looming mountain, majestic sunsets and spacious plains. She shares this world with the love of her life, her husband of 37 years. Together they raised two daughters and now share space with one entitled cat, two spoiled dogs, and two adorable turtles (who knew turtles could have such great personalities). When Melanie isn’t writing, she plays electronic games, completes craft projects or simply enjoys time with her family and friends.
